2022 Lightning: The F-150 Goes Electric!

For a green future, you have to change the winning recipes too. Say hello to the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning, the new 100% electric version of the best-selling truck in Canada for 55 years. As robust and powerful as the one we know, discover our first zero-emission pickup truck.

A range of 480km

To be able to keep up with your busy schedule, the 2022 Lightning has a standard range of more than 370 km. If you opt for the extended-range battery, you will unlock the full power of the Lightning and its 480 km of maximum range. That’s enough to drive from Montreal to Ottawa and back!

Intelligent range estimation

The actual range of the vehicle is often slightly different from its maximum range. This is due to several factors, including driving style, operating features and the load carried or towed. The 2022 F-150 Lightning has an intelligent range estimation system that provides real-time information taking all these parameters into account.

More efficient charging than ever

The standard home has a 120V or 240V outlet, so we designed the Lightning to charge quickly on any type of outlet. For even more efficiency, you can also get the Ford Charge Station Pro to get your vehicle back on track in no time.

Intelligent backup power system

The 2022 F-150 Lightning is there when you need it. In the event of a power outage, it can serve as a power source for an entire home for three to ten days. Now that’s peace of mind!

Enhanced onboard ProPower

By equipping the Lightning with on-board ProPower, you can enjoy these same electrical features while working your daily routine. Its 9.6 kW of exportable power is divided into ten 120V outlets: four in the bed, two in the cab and four in the front trunk. For more power, a 240V/30A outlet is also located in the bed.

BlueCruise Hands-Free Driving

Combining the latest in route guidance and alertness control technologies, BlueCruise technology allows you to drive your 2022 Lightning hands-free! At the moment, this feature is already available on more than 160,000 km of designated highways in North America.

A powerful engine

Just because it has an electric motor does not mean it’s any less powerful! The opposite is true: the 2022 Lightning can accelerate up to 100 km/h in four seconds, the fastest of the F-Series! With 563 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque, it deserves the name F-150!

10,000 lbs. towing capacity and 2,000 lbs. payload

The power of a vehicle, especially a pickup truck, is not only calculated in horsepower but also pounds. With the strength of its engine block, the 2022 F-150 Lightning is capable of towing up to 10,000 lbs. That’s nearly a metric ton or 2,000 lbs, that can be hauled in the box. That’s more than enough for just about any daily task!
